BRUCE DISAPPOINTED IN DIE HARD 4.0 AND BABYLON A.D. PICTURES

May 3rd 2007 20:50
Two short news folks!

First off, Bruce Willis has expressed himself about the PG-13 rating of Die Hard 4.0 (I like this title better than Live Free or Die Hard). In an interview with Vanity he said:

I really wanted this one to live up to the promise of the first one, which I always thought was the only really good one. That's a studio decision that is becoming more and more common, because they're trying to reach a broader audience. It seems almost a courageous move to give a picture an R rating these days. But we still made a pretty hardcore, smashmouth film.

I'm baffled that a movie needs an R-rating to be good these days. I mean, there are plenty of good PG-13 flicks out there so something is wrong with Bruce Willis' take on the ratings. Why should even ratings have anything to do with quality? Unless the filmmakers are forced to cut down on the creative result, which I don't think is the case with Die Hard 4.0.

On other news, Vin Diesel's new flick, Babylon A.D., has some pictures officially released. Now, I'm not a fan of Vin, but with Find Me Guilty I think there might even be hope.

Babylon A.D. is action with some thriller and sci-fi. A working mix if you ask me. More info when a closer peek is available.

Gerard Depardieu looks...different. Head over to Vin Diesel Gallery to see more.

Die Hard is supposed to be overly violent, it's the spirit of the movie, so if thats taken away... wel it's more of a Die Hard 0.5 than a Diehard 4.0

Could be a Diehard 3.5...

Ahmed,

Actually, I didn't think Die Hard had important violence that can't be reached with PG-13. I mean, Mission Impossible 3 had violence and action, at least as much as any Die Hard, but it's still PG-13 and good. Same with Casino Royale.

It's all in the story, not the blood or sex. A nice balance makes the best movies.

I think.

meh, I don't really understand the whole pg13 thing, I am kind of stuck between saying m15 and pg but not sure which it's closer to.
