20.04.07: FRACTURE - TRAILER
April 17th 2007 20:41
To continue with this weeks releases, today we're gonna take a look at Fracture. Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling playing the main roles in this thriller.
When you see Anthony Hopkins in a role, you can be certain of one thing - the character he's playing is interesting and well executed. Guaranteed. For instance, Hannibal Lecter is one of the best examples of how a character should be written and executed. And this is not a one time thing. In every Hopkins-movie, the characters are valuable.
As for Ryan Gosling, with the nomination for Half Nelson (a movie I personally don't recommend to the general mass), he's only getting bigger. The Notebook was when I first realized this guy was gonna go far. I mean, who would've thought that young Hercules would grow up this quick?
The trailer of Fracture does make me curious to see it and that's good, but not on the big screen. Something tells me it'll be one of those movies where they will run around banging their heads on the wall to solve the mystery only to suddenly understand everything during the last five minutes. In other words, I'm concerned it'll just be another mystery-thriller, a one night stand.
Watch the trailer and judge by yourselves. Doesn't Hopkins look younger or something?

Fractured, yes, suspense, great, I jumped in my chair, Hopkins is a great actor, and sadly with the prosecutor his youth shows. But he's coming good.
So, from someone who's extremely fussy about the movies she sees, this gets top rating , although I can't say I'd want my children to see this 'for all' clip if they were young.
Oh, to be in pictures, how lucky can you be.
Not so lucky as me, you see, I've never been hooked on trivial pursuits but this one doesn't seem too trivial to me.
katyzzz....you've done a great job with a superb clip.

You seem to really like it. Good for you! I know, the trailer is a bit "too much", but I guess they only rate what's visible, not what we can understand will happen anyway...
Thanks for your kind words.
Have a nice day,
