Yes, sometimes Jessica Alba can be hot like the Sun and sometimes hot like the Ice. Luckily this time she's sun-hot.
The movie is Good Luck Chuck (I bet the makers thought this was a very smart title) and it's an (judging by the trailer) R-rated comedy. That's not necessarily a bad thing since 40 Year Old Virgin.
However, the fact that Dane Cook stars in it is a major turn-off. Not even sun-hot Jessica can change that. Like I've said before, since the frikkin' when is Dane Cook considered as an actor?
The plot? A guy who breaks up with his longtime lady is shocked to hear that she gets engaged to her next boyfriend. He finds himself repeating this pattern. Until he meets Ms. Right and there's where the obstacle comes in - if he has sex with her she will go on and marry the next guy she finds attractive. Wow, scary right? Yes, Hollywood is out of ideas.
Anyway, there's a new trailer out, with Jessica Alba's penguin-panties in it. That's the only way people will go and see it. Yes, Hollywood is desperate.

When I was in the States this was being heavily publicised but it looks abysmal to me. I would have to be drugged and gagged to see it.

GLC is advertised pretty much everywhere, it seems like the studio is trying hard to get it out there. Is it because it's so good or because it's not good enough to do that by its own?

I think that's exactly right...or is it good (doubt it) because it has Jessica Alba in it and she is fanciable to many men? Either way, I'm not seeing it
