GRINDHOUSE GETS AN R-RATING
March 23rd 2007 23:55
By now probably everyone knows about Grindhouse, the movie with two movies made by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. Looks cool, but not exactly my cup of tea.
It has very nasty stuff in it, some of which they say is an obese man eating a baby. *puke*
I don't know how, but yesterday it got an R-rating. Here's what Knowles (AICN) said about his conversation with Rodriguez:
It sounds like they didn't had to cut much, which isn't what I expected for an R-rating. By the rumors I thought they would have to cut the whole thing into half. I guess all the nasty promo is all the nasty in the movie itself as well.
Another thing is it's gonna be REALLY long, 3 hours and 5 minutes. Most recent movie I saw get near that is King Kong. Hopefully there will be more action in Grindhouse though.
Until laterz.

I just got off the phone with Rodriguez - who is celebrating getting his R-rating for the double feature without having to sacrifice much of anything. He only lost part of a brain-eating scene and Quentin only lost part of one of the crash scenes.

It should be lots of blood and gore huh? I on the other hand don't mind blood (I loved Kill Bill), but I don't know. Not a fun of this Grindhouse-style.
We'll see. Maybe I change my mind after seeing it.
