HORTON HEARS A WHO - PICTURES

November 14th 2007 17:07
horton hears a who
When the company behind Ice Age, 20th Century Fox, is working on a new project there's no doubt expectations are high. And when you have Jim Carrey as the voice of the main character it can only get better.

Horton Hears a Who is based on the children's book by Dr. Seuss, which mostly the older ones probably recognize.

Animation is on high speed right now, for a spring release.

See the pictures over at the forum.

Ok, the company behind ice age is making this one. But the writers and directors are completely different. I wasn't fond of ice age 2, ice age was better. the second one tried to cash in on that. Ice age 3 has been announced.

Hey jaz,

Yes, that's true, however the producers are the same and usually they decide how good it ends up...

Ice Age 2 was no 1 but still hilarious, right?

Ice age 2 hilarious eer not really. Producers just want the money. Its all about the writers and directors. Look at 40 year old virgin and Superbad. Then look at Boogeyman produced by Sam Raimi.

At least Peter Jackson gives writers and directors credit to do what they want. Sorry that sounded like a bad rant at what you said. Didn't mean to.

No, I understand what you mean, but that's not always the case...

I've worked with quite few film projects, and have experienced that producers have the final say. Of course the work depends A LOT on the script and direction too.

Stuff like what you're saying happen though. I'm optimistic, I guess.
