There's a new poster out for the horror flick Hostel 2 out. Eli Roth says it will be as good if not better than the first, so fans shouldn't worry about it. The trailer didn't show much, but managed to transfer the film's feeling well.

The Decayed Chronicles

Well I hope so. The first one was a let down. Too much hype and not enough good acting. Honestly I'd be weary to see this in theaters. The gore was enjoyable, and the storyline was good. I just hope this one follows through with expectations more than it's predecessor.

I thought Hostel blew chunks! Terrible movie, incredibly overhyped .... I'm a committed horrorphile, and Hostel was such a let down! Even the so called extreme gore was unconvincing! I'll probably see Hostel Part II ... and through popcorn at the TV screen (I doubt I'll pay good money to see it at the cinemas) ... The Descent was much better.

Well, I've said it before and I'll say it again.

I don't like Hostel. However, I understand why people do, even though some just don't dare to say otherwise.

See Hostel 2, but even if it's better I doubt it'll be good.

Y'see I didn't much care for Cabin Fever either, Roth's first film. Tarantino loves him. But Tarantino is a mixed bag these days, I don't think he ever followed through like so many hoped he would after Pulp Fiction ... Jackie Brown was okay at best (some love it though), his sequence is Sin City was good, but you wouldn't have guessed it otherwise ... Kill Bill was very uneven, I preferred the 2nd part, I guess. I wonder what Inglorious Bastards will be like .... Seems he can't make a wholy original movie ... even Pulp Fiction pulled from so many sources, but I guess it was his only really "original" movie, since Reservoir Dogs is basically a sly re-envisisioning of a HK flick called City on Fire. I suppose Jackie Brown is an original story, but it doesn't feel that way, the title pays "homage" to blaxploitation. I must say though I'm envious of how young Roth is to be enjoying such industry clout.

You're pretty much right...

Tarantino is good, but lately he's trying too hard.

True Romance, Pulp, Kill Bill are all good movies. So is Jackie. Original? Not completely.

Inglorious Bastards sounds good but you never know...
