HOSTEL 2 - TRAILER
March 30th 2007 10:29
Today seems to be trailer-day. First we had Redline, then Evan Almighty, and now to something completely different in every aspect possible - Hostel 2.
This is one scary movie. And disturbing, disgusting and all those -ings. But that's the point and that's why so many love it. Produced by Quentin Tarrantino and directed by Eli Roth, Hostel 2 seems like a decent sequel to the first part.
I don't know why this has become such a success, but considering the amount of gore, it might be the fact that it doesn't care about any limits whatsoever. It shows what it wants to show - like it or leave it. Most liked it.
I will stay objective on this one, I can't say I like it but I can understand those who did.
Now a brand new trailer is available, in Russian. I don't know if it's supposed to be in Russian or if it's just too early for an English version. After all the Russian voice over adds a bit of the mysterious climate this movie has, since the story takes place there and all.
It seems decent enough and the trailer doesn't include much of anything so don't worry if you're a bit fragile.

I didn't find it scary, I found the gore unconvincing.
The whole movie felt contrived.
I didn't like Cabin Fever either.
So it is unlikely I will enjoy Hostel Part II.
Apparently he's gonna be directing the film adaptation of Stephen King's Cell.

Sorry about the musical-thing.
I can understand your dislikement and I'm kinda on the same page. Oops, didn't stay too objective now did I?
The Cell will hopefully be better though. But hope is always disappointing...

hey, all cool. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks. Musicals just grate on me like sandpaper that's all. Just like country music does.
I haven't read Cell yet, I hear it's a return to the early style of King novels, and quite gruesome too, which is good. I gave up on King's books in the late 80s .... Had enough I guess, started to find them getting a bit too bloody uniformly long ...
"Dislikement"? That's a new word. "I'm kinda on the same page"? So you do like musicals, or you don't? You're confusing the issue ... lol

Ok, I understand. The Cell is good if executed right, Stephen King's movies are pretty hard to get correct and end up as B-movies sometimes.
The second paragraph and on intended Hostel 2. And I sat here debating to myself whether I should use "dislikement" or not and finally decided to do it. Who make new words? We do. Who make cool words? I do. lol
And by now you probably already guesses I'm on the same page when it comes to Hostel 2, not musicals
