I apologize to all frequent readers for a very slow week, but there are practically nothing interesting going on and a lot of personal shit occurred. It seems like that's over now.
Will Smith is a great guy with lots of style and talent, that seems to manage his career perfectly fine. And his son's career. His next film is I Am Legend.
I Am Legend about Robert Neville, the last man alive, that busies himself with preparing for a nightly attack from the rest of the world - all of which have transformed into blood-thirsty vampires. [IMDB]
It may sound like something we've seen before or simply like just another vampire/zombie flick, and it might very well be one. However, sometimes Akiva Goldsman, the writer, really nails it. Hopefully this will be one of those movies.

I love Smith, and I think he is very talented (at the very least entertaining!), but this seems a little like a cash-in... too close to 28 Days Later meets any Zombie flick with some Blade thrown in...
It's great material - here's hoping they get it right.

Yea, it's dangerous indeed, but it looks good. I mean it hasn't been done with this kind of budget before and the people involved know their shit so...
I think I'll know for sure when I actually see the vampires or a longer trailer. And I think Will knows how to pick a good script, considering the latest films he's done.
