IN THE VALLEY OF ELAH - TRAILER
September 5th 2007 05:15
The last time Paul Haggis directed a movie, Crash, it won the Oscar for best picture. Now that his next directorial effort is due, all are waiting to see what he can create without Ludacris in his cast, because apparently it is believe that it was Luda who swayed the Academy into making this decision. Who knows if this is true?
In The Valley of Elah is Haggis' meditation on the impact war has on those who fight it. It stars Tommy Lee Jones as a father who is searching for his son, who is missing after returning from Iraq. Charize Theron plays a police detective and Susan Sarandon plays Lee's wife.
Apparently, Haggis wrote the script based on an article that appeared in PLAYBOY magazine, so does that mean Haggis is one of those guys who reads Playboy 'for the articles.' Again, who knows?
In The Valley of Elah opens on September 21 in the States.

Great post, I've been waiting for a peek into this film, and I'm not disappointed. This is a sure watch for me.
But I have to say, Tommy's face looks funny.
Have a good one,

I agree, I also think Charlize Theron is an extremely talented actor as well as Cate Blanchett. It looks like an interesting film doesn't it? It looks like it would be sad too.
Thanks for popping in,
Tracy
