JUSTICE LEAGUE, HELLBOY 2 AND IRON MAN

March 22nd 2007 18:44

Whoa! A lot of comic-news are heading towards us with a speed of Iron Man, strengh of Hellboy and pantyhose of the Justice League-team. Okay I'm not sure what that last thing was all about but still... Let's get down to business:

Some time ago a rumor circulated the net that Batman weren't gonna be in the Justice League film, something that sounded very smart. However that is false, new reliable sources say, and if there will be a Justice League film, Batman will certainly attend. Christian Bale, the current Batman, has a contract to make 3 movies in total one of which might be an ensemble-flick. One down, one coming and one unknown. Can it be Justice League?

Hellboy seems to be a popular Marvel-movie and therefore a sequel is coming out, called Hellboy 2: The Golden Army. Weird title but I'm sure it makes sense once seeing it. This is what Superheroflix says about the plot:

After an ancient truce existing between humankind and the invisible realm of the fantastic is broken, hell on Earth is ready to erupt. A ruthless leader who treads the world above and the one below defies his bloodline and awakens an unstoppable army of creatures. Now, it's up to the planet's toughest, roughest superhero to battle the merciless dictator and his marauders. He may be red. He may be horned. He may be misunderstood. But when you need the job done right, it's time to call in Hellboy (Ron Perlman).

Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr. (perfect choice if you ask me), is past first week of photography and director Jon Favreu shares the progress with us through his Myspace-blog. Does every single person in Hollywood have one of these now? Here's an interesting piece:

We are done with the first week of photography. I am happy to report that the ten months of preparation allowed the extremely challenging first week of photography to come off without a hitch. The look is fantastic and the performances are great as well. Downey was definitely the right choice.

I begin to think Jon hesitated about Robert Downey Jr. when they began filming but has realized everything's gonna work out just fine.

Cheers everyone!
