KNIGHT RIDER THE MOVIE

Knight Rider is one of the shows I just couldn't miss, together with A-Team and some I already forgot.

Therefore, I can honestly say I like the idea of a Knight Rider movie, but am afraid at the same time it'll be ruined. The movie will mostly concentrate on Michael Knight's son, who never got to know his father, but takes over the super car KITT.

A better KITT though. As you can see above it's not the classic version, but rather a 550 HP Ford Shelby GT500KR Mustang. I just drooled.

Anyway, Justin Bruening will play Knight's son and a 2008 release is aimed. The movie will air at NBC, so it seems it won't be big cinema stuff, which is cool and might keep the old spirit.

You sure come up with these nail biters, don't you?

I mean, like so many 'pick-up from T.V. series films' this could so go either way, couldn't it. I'm guessing though that it'll rock!

I hate being the odd one out, but this just doesn't work for me. The idea of his son is slightly interesting, I admit, but the car just ... it isn't KITT.

I suggest going back to the roots, starting from scratch. But I guess anything's better than TKR, so who knows.

good news thats not the car for the new movie thats more likely Barricade from Transformers LOL...the new KIT for Knight Rider Movie its a Koenigsegg CCX and not a Mustang... u got F in the A

well considering Michael Knight tried to get with every Female he came within 10 feet of on the old shows then makes sense he would have a child..... the mustang leaves something to be desired as its over all body design is wrong for the K.I.T.T look but I will try to overlook that. lets see if they can make this worth while or if it will be like a Brady Christmas

FYI - the new KITT is a Shelby. I was hoping it would the come back of an American classic just as the Cameo did for Chevy in the Transformers. The movie was slow but it did pick up the pace once we see the new support team being put into place. The rumors on the web line said NBC had picked up the pilot and will feature a new TV series base on the movie starting in the fall. If this is true we just maybe fortunate enough to see KITT return to the small screen. Personally I like the return of William Daniels as the voice behind the new KITT. IMO Val Kilmer was okay but I had found his sense of humor quite flat and his emotional appeal as KITT's voice very monotone but that's just me.
