MY BLUEBERRY NIGHTS - POSTER
May 1st 2007 08:04
Cannes is getting closer and all we can do is watch it happen from a distance. However, soon enough we'll also be able to enjoy the movies they'll see, so let's start with one of them.
My Blueberry Nights seems very promising. In fact, the most promising of the whole Cannes-list. At least from the English-speaking ones.
With talent like this you can only expect the best: Norah Jones, Jude Law, David Strathairn, Tim Roth, Rachel Weisz, Natalie Portman... the list doesn't want to end.
It's about a young woman (Jones) that takes a soul-searching journey across America to resolve her questions about love while encountering a series of offbeat characters along the way [IMDB].
This doesn't just include Oscar-winners, it might even become an Oscar-winner itself. The new poster was removed through a request by Christal Films, but here's a fine picture of Natalie Portman to keep you company until something else arrives.

Thanks, didn't see your post, will take a look right away.
I can't say I know much about Wai Kar Wong, other than Eros, but he surely seems like a very nice director.
Have a nice one,
