NATIONAL TREASURE 2 CAST - HELEN MIRREN
March 28th 2007 11:44
I loved National Treasure and I'm glad to hear these news about the sequel. Until now the cast was unknown, which is weird since shooting has already begun. However today some news came forward that gives us all information we need about that.
Like the title mentions, Helen Mirren will be part of National Treasure: Book of Secrets, playing Nicolas Cage's mother. In other words she'll be Emily Gates. This is a woman with enormous talent and I can't imagine anyone else playing The Queen better than her.
Then we have the bad guy. In the first one it was Sean Bean, the bad guy of bad guys. In this one we'll see Ed Harris. Not bad eh (I mean the news, not Ed)? He is also one of my favorite stars and a good bad guy as well (A History of Violence, Enemy at the Gates, etc). He will be Jeb Wilkinson, who has some information about Gates' father and aligns himself as an ally only to become...
Of course the initial cast will be back in action, like Diane Kruger, Justin Bartha and Harvey Keitel.
Impressive news if you ask me! December 17 is the day and I'm the first to attend.
