NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2
September 2nd 2007 09:49
I just read on WorstPreviews that the sequel to Night at the Museum will be called Another Night. Not the most inventive sequel title I’ve ever heard, but unfortunately no-one asked my opinion, so I guess it will stay.
The film will still be set at the Museum of Natural History in New York and Ben Stiller will again play the security guard and Robin Williams will return as Theodore Roosevelt.
The original opened last year in December and earned $251 million within the States. It became even more popular internationally, earning an additional $322 million for a total worldwide box office of $573 million. It was also top of the DVD charts for several weeks.
It hasn’t been determined whether Shawn Levy, the original director will return to lead the sequel, but 20th Century Fox has already confirmed that the budget for the film exceeds $100 million. Wowee, that’s a lot of money, I hope it’s spent well.
