NO MORE HOSTEL FOR ELI ROTH
June 1st 2007 08:58
Eli Roth has said in an interview with Cinematical that there won't be any Hostel III, at least for him.
No, there's part one and part two. There's Kill Bill I and Kill Bill II. There's Hostel: Part I and Hostel: Part II; no part III. I mean, never say never -- but, no. That's the story; there's part one and part two - it's over, I'm done with it. Maybe someone else will want to continue it, but I really made Hostel: Part II for myself. And I really wanted to raise the bar on how people perceive a horror sequel should be. And unless I felt like I can make a part three that re-defines what a third part is, I wouldn't do it. I want there to be Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man 2; I didn't need there to be a Spider-Man 3.
I'm sure the studio will continue it if Hostel II makes a shitload of money though. They always do.
