PARIS JE T’AIME - WONDERFUL MOVIE
May 23rd 2007 18:33
I saw Paris, Je T’Aime approx. two months ago and let me tell ya - best movie I've seen so far year 2007.
It's a must for everyone with some brains, not because of its complexity, but because of its deep emotions. I literally cried, and I don't do that a lot. It's the utter definition of romance, comedy, sadness and beauty.
It has several directors and contains different short stories, with the basic thread of love. Some of the directors are Wes Craven, Alexander Payne, the Coen Brothers and some of the stars include Natalie Portman, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Elijah Wood.
You need to be able to read though, because it's mainly in French. Wonderful language and wonderful city, Paris.
Seriously, this is the perfect movie for your first date. Or even your 1000 one.
The trailer for the American market is out now, but I prefer to show you probably one of the better stories in the movie.
It's directed by Tom Tykwer, called True, with Natalie Portman. Personally, I just get happy thinking about it (turn up the volume since the sound is not that good).

I've heard such mixed reviews about this one, but I'm still interested. I really do like French films....maybe I'll do it soon after all,

Well, like I said you need to be able to think on some deeper emotional level, and some people simply only get entertained by popcorn-flicks. This is not one of them. You'll either love it or hate it.
I think you'll love it.
Do it!
Have a good one,

I generally only see films that make me think on a deeper level, so I think this will suit me.
Thanks,
