Michael Moore is getting on the government's nerves once again, through his new film Sicko about the American health care industry. You can find more info and the poster over here.

I love Moore's style and even though it sometimes seems like he's going a bit over the top, it's generally amusing. The new trailer shows a lot of promise and quality at the same level as his previous movie, or at least Fahrenheit 9/11.

It's fantastic to work three jobs isn't it? According to Bush anyway...

My Apologetics

Ordinarily I couldn't care less about the US health system but Michael Moore does have a great style in the way he tackles issues.

This film may a bit more entertaining if only for the stunts he has pulled.

I love Mr Moore's style and the Envirowarrior within, is excited about this one... anything that exposes what lies rotting under our noses, appeals.

I love the way Mr Moore has a way of making us all realise that we are definitely becoming more dumb as the generations move onwards... with less and less power ...

Heartily looking forward to this latest romp, because without a change in Australian government policies (perhaps even governments themselves) we may well become a carbon copy of the states of the States within a short time ....

Exactly. Of course there's always a second side to what Moore is saying, but he's mostly right...

And we are becoming dumber. Look at Idiocracy - a comedy with lots of truth in it.

I live in the US and have in the past had similar experiences with insurance companies and healthcare providers.

I've been told by a doctor that my problem is that I belonged to a particular medical insurance company, this was just before he got up and walked from the examination room ...and this is just one example.

For those of you who don't care I truly hope you or someone you love never gets sick or hurt. I was perfectly healthy and strong my whole life until i was hit by a car, when I was 25 and 6 months later I developed Rheumatoid Arthritis. Dealing for the last 5 years with the endless red tape and bureaucracy of the health care system is a nightmare. It is demoralizing and depressing and month to month I never know what I'm going to get. It's bad enough that I deal with the constant pain from the RA but not knowing if I'm going to be able to see my Dr. or get my meds is enough to drive you crazy. The real problem in this country are the people who don't care. Wake up people! There but for the grace of God go you!
