Exciting stuff for all the fans out there, but really, for all the other movielovers as well. J.J. Abrams is directing this epic (hopefully) filmversion of Star Trek, and the trailer has been out for few days now. Looks good. Yea. Looks interesting and fresh, whatever that means.

Seriously, I love that it begins grounded in "reality" and continues into the sci-fi world we recognize. And most importantly, dear movielovers, it looks like something you don't have to be a fan of to enjoy.

Okay it resembles nothing like Star Trek but I will still go and see it on the big screen... as you say, you dont have to be a fan to enjoy this... and therein lies the instrinsic beauty of Gene Roddenberry being a real time lord, those who like it will want to watch the other stuff too perhaps?

I'm really looking forward to seeing the new Star Trek film. Especially as it stars one of my favourite British actors/comedians Simon Pegg.
