THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM - POSTER
April 3rd 2007 22:46
Not long ago we had a first look at The Bourne Ultimatum trailer. We all agreed it wasn't especially insightful nor good. But we also agreed that the Bourne films are entertaining, even though they can't be considered as history-worthy.
They'll always remain somewhere between good and bad. Still a pretty nice spot, considering the majority of movies in the bad-section.
Anyway, a one-sheet or poster is now out for us to criticize. Not that anyone would care what we have to say about it, but what is life without a constant nagging? I personally don't understand why we must see Bourne's back. It's boring enough with all the posters showing a close up of the hero's front, now we're gonna see their back?
If you're detail oriented you will notice that all Bourne movies are represented by the same nuance of blue. That same boring faded out blue color, as if it was printed in a bad machine.
UPDATE: That's a bad haircut too!
Now it's your turn to be a pessimist.

I like the idea behind the poster ...
but that's one ugly hairline ...
Blokes should go to barbers to get a decent haircut ... hairdressers have no idea how to give a good old-fashioned taper cut or what I call 'The Gallipoli' Cut' ...
That looks terrible ...
If I was a woman and saw that hairline next to me when I woke up in the morning? I'd get the bowl and scissors out and give him a bowl cut ...
Plus, his back takes up too much of the poster ... (I do like the idea behind it ... but it's poorly exectued ...
But I still want to see the film ... because there are so many shit movies around ... they elevate the Bourne movies into history-worthy status to me ...
There aren't a lot of movies I'll watch again and again ... but I will do it with the Bourne series because I just think they have brilliant plots .... (and everyone is so critical nowadays ... [whereas I like to enjoy what I enjoy without having to be a critic ...
chicks like their chick flicks ... (and good on them ... they're chicks ... (so they should ...
I like movies like this ...
Going now
I've raved enough ...

Yea, believe it or not, I wrote and deleted the sentence "and that's a BAD haircut" several times and ultimately didn't include cause I thought it was not relevant and just a matter of taste. Something only I see.
But THANK YOU. That's a frikkin' BAD haircut! I'm glad you see it as well.
You're free to like them, so do I, but I can't say I'm blown away by them nor will I see them plenty of times (unless this third one is better than Casino Royale).
Have a good one mate,
