BANGKOK DANGEROUS - TRAILER

March 31st 2008 03:34
BANGKOK DANGEROUS TRAILER

Directors Danny and Oxide Pang return to familiar territory with this remake of their own popular crime thriller, Bangkok Dangerous made in 1999 about a ruthless hit-man (Nicolas Cage) who travels to Bangkok in order to carry out four crucial jobs.

During the course of this task, Cage falls in love with a pretty local girl while also forming a friendly bond with his young errand boy.

It is also known by working titles, Big Hit in Bangkok and Time to Kill, perhaps to dispel any confusion about a remake with the same time.

Filming began in Bangkok back in August 2006, with locations that include Soi Cowboy, Bangkok’s Red Light district, so it sounds like we can expect some authentic scenery.

The film is currently in production, no further details have not been divulged other than its expected release date of August 2008.

FULL IRON MAN TRAILER!

March 4th 2008 16:18
iron man
Every trailer for this film promises an amazing time at the theater, but this full and probably final trailer exceeds everything previous.

Of course I'm gonna say how appropriate Robert Downey Jr. is for the role as Tony Spark and Iron Man, because he really delivers the right thing at the right time. The face expressions, comedy, etc.

We must not forget Jon Favreau though, who is the director of this film. The guy hasn't done very big productions before this, at least not "as big", but the experience is certainly there and therefore it could end up both ways. We hope for the good, fresh, fun way.

Released May 2nd.

10,000 B.C. - TRAILER

February 21st 2008 23:09
10000 BC
We haven't really talked much about this upcoming big film, mainly because the marketing wasn't as loud as it should. 10,000 B.C. got its own buzz the last couple of months, even though it'll hit theaters soon, March 7th.

The reason for the silence may be that no well known stars participate, a choice by director Roland Emmerich. I'm not impressed by his previous work, Godzilla and The Day After Tomorrow, but Independence Day is an exception. You could obviously say he's experienced with effects and catastrophic themes.

When it comes down to it, 10,000 B.C. looks exciting and the idea is interesting. A young mammoth hunter's journey through uncharted territory to secure the future of his tribe. [IMDB]

Here's the trailer.

INDIANA JONES 4 - TRAILER

February 15th 2008 09:56
indiana jones 4
New trailer to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is out, looking as you would expect an Indiana Jones movie to look. There's nothing on the plot, but we get the enviroment and period it'll play.

It's exciting and all, but there's a fear it'll be too "Disney". Notice for instance when Indiana smashes into an enemy car...

In any case we'll surely get a nice ride, when it's released May 22.

SMART PEOPLE TRAILER

January 27th 2008 04:41
Smart People

Canadian actor, Ellen Page (Hard Candy, Juno) chooses roles that allow her to show her quick wit, firm use of dialogue and strong acting abilities. In Smart People it looks as though she continues that path.

Ellen plays Vanessa, the daughter of professor Lawrence Wetherhold Dennis Quaid), a self-absorbed, non-aware father who knows little about his children until circumstances force him to look at his life. As expected, this is uncomfortable and as reluctant as he feels about making any changes, he knows he must.

Smart People has a motivating mix of actors including, Sarah Jessica Parker (Failure to Launch, The Family Stone), Thomas Haden Church (Sideways, Spanglish) and Ashton Holmes (A History of Violence, Peaceful Warrior).

THE DARK KNIGHT - TRAILER!

The Dark Knight joker
Finally here it is! The first official trailer of The Dark Knight. Batman looks as good as in the prequel, Batman Begins, and the Joker is... wow! What a character they've built! Can't wait to see more of Heath Ledger's interpretation of him.

MAMMA MIA! - TRAILER

December 14th 2007 10:49
Mamma Mia!
Finally a first look into the world of Mamma Mia!, the ABBA based musical. I've been expecting this because A) it's a musical and B) pretty much all great and talented performers star in it.

Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgård and on... Of course then there's the main actress, Amanda Seyfried. This is one of her bigger parts, and she's crucial for the movie's success, so much pressure is currently on her shoulders. But I've seen her in some previous work, and believe there won't be a problem.

In this trailer of Mamma Mia! we see that the mood is fairytaleish, which will probably turn some people off, but exactly the opposite happens with me.

HEAR JOHNNY DEPP SING IN SWEENEY TODD

November 22nd 2007 16:18
Sweeney Todd depp
Although there have been previews with small peeks on Depp singing, here's a clip with some more of it.

Personally I feel it's the usual musical style, talk-singing, but Johnny Depp does it well and the song sounds great too. Look forward to see his overall performance in Sweeney Todd around Christmas.

IRON MAN - TRAILER NR. 2

November 5th 2007 15:50
Ironman
There's already an amazing trailer of Iron Man out there, but this got released today as well. It shows some of what we've already seen, but concentrates more on Tony Stark in the suit, with less backstory.

An interesting on set footage clip can be seen here. Guess I'm not the only one hyped to see this?

ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS - TRAILER

November 5th 2007 15:40
alvin and chipmunks
Alvin and the Chipmunks is a classic, at least in its original form as a cartoon. Now it's of course becoming a movie, the kind that is destined to fail.

At least it feels that way, since a) the current young generation don't recognize it, b) it's not considered cool anymore and c) these films usually do better in DVD.

In any case, let's not get ahead of ourselves. The poster was ok and now there's a full length trailer available of Alvin and the Chipmunks:

JUMPER - TRAILER AND POSTER

November 3rd 2007 17:33
Jumper poster
Not much has been said around here about adventure/sci-fi movie Jumper, but here's a good reason to do so. The new poster is very attractive and gathers interest. I'm a big fan of good adventures that unfortunately don't get released very often due to their budget.

So, since you now have seen the poster to Jumper, it's time for the trailer. The trailer is complex, you don't understand what really goes on, but that's the point. It's one of those movies you can't afford to get distracted or you'll miss important story-information.

But it looks nice, and includes a great cast.

Kung Fu Panda
Kung Fu Panda is Dreamworks big animation project for 2008. Their current movie, Bee Movie, seems to become a success judging by all the hype and previews.

Kung Fu Panda has some incredibly big names involved in the cast, such as Jack Black, Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie and many more.

The teaser underneath shows Jack Black talking about his "mad" fighting-skills and introduces us to the movie. We get to see some of the first footage yet to be released, and it looks good! In theaters June 6th, 2008.

RAMBO IV - TRAILER!

October 24th 2007 12:37
Rambo IV
Rambo is the topic of the latest headlines, so strategically the trailer of the new film also got released. Just to be clear, the official title is ultimately Rambo, and not "John Rambo" or anything else. I find it confusing though, since it sounds more like the first film in the franchise, so you may see "IV" behind the title sometimes.

Anyway, if you've been keeping track of all the previews, an unrated trailer of Rambo was released almost half a year ago. However, in this one we get to see some more story and cooler scenes with bombs exploding and neck-slicing. Hey, that's Rambo...

You can see Rambo in cinema January 25 and look out for more news on Rambo V

Just a small post to share this second trailer that came out not long ago, where we see some more of Sweeney Todd's bloody side. It's really cool, like the previous trailer as well.

Everything else there is to be said can be found over here.

STEP UP 2 THE STREETS - TRAILER

October 21st 2007 19:30
step up 2
When I watched Step Up I thought it would be more than it was, why I got disappointed. Plenty of other folks thought of it as a hilarious and cool film though, why a sequel.

The trailer to Step Up 2 the Streets is available, and it looks better than the first movie, partly because of its bigger budget. You can see when money is spent and when not, and even though it doesn't matter when it comes to story, it does when it comes to quality.

I'M NOT THERE - TRAILER

October 19th 2007 17:21
im not there
I'm Not There has been around for some time, in different festivals and so on, but a new trailer is out that gives us a nicer look at Cate Blanchett's award-winning interpretation. Of course, for me, it'll never be enough until I see the whole film.

I'm Not There is ruminations on the life of Bob Dylan, where seven characters embody a different aspect of the musician's life and work. [IMDB]

Love the idea, love the cast, love the style. Exciting stuff.

STOP LOSS - TRAILER

October 18th 2007 20:27
stop loss
The maker of Boys Don't Cry, Kimberly Peirce, have had a big rest since 1999 was the last year she released a full feature film. However, it's time for the comeback with Stop Loss, a war drama.

Stop Loss is about a soldier, that is back home in Texas after fighting in Iraq, but soon the government wants him out to battle again, which he refuses to go through.

Ryan Phillippe is the star actor, and so far he hasn't disappointed. As for the director, as above mentioned Kimberly, we probably can expect a controversial movie that many either will love or hate.

The trailer got out yesterday, showing some unique storytelling and attractive style. Released March 28, 2008.

AUGUST RUSH - TRAILER

October 17th 2007 20:46
August Rush
August Rush is perfect for people who like good stories and music. I know I do and therefore am excited about this movie.

August Rush is about an orphaned boy that uses his musical talent as a clue to finding his birth parents. Dramas combined with adventure and fairy tale elements can never go wrong. I remember the last movie I saw in this similar genre is Big Fish, which is yet another reason to expect good things (but don't compare it with this one too much).

Freddie Highmore is the lead, and also in the news because of The Spiderwick Chronicles.

Watch a clip at Apple, and the trailer here:
