Underdog was amusing as a show for kids. But a movie? With a real dog? Acting all super? I can't see it.
I'm not judging it before seeing more than a short teaser, so don't get me wrong. It's a movie for children and should be criticized like one as well.
Memories of Garfield came when I watched this, and that's not a good sign, at all. Nice voice by Jason Lee though.

Even though they're obviously quite similar, I wouldn't say it's a cheaper version of Krypto, because Krypto was the character in the Superman comic, while Underdog started off as a show directly few years later.
And it might look cheaper because Underdog had a lot of comedy in it and therefore isn't quite serious if you know what I mean. Krypto was more superheroic and well drawn...
