WE'RE OK? - POEM
December 21st 2006 15:02
As a screenwriter I write. Of course it's not always as easy to nail every single scene and sometimes I just need a break. A break from my characters and my fictional world. How I take that break? Of course not by not writing. That would be devastating. To not write.
Always keep writing, whatever that is. Homer knows what I'm talking about. If you stop writing everyday do not consider yourself a writer, cause a writer who loves what he/she does tries to exercise every day. Anything. A blog, a story, a problem.
A poem. That's what I usually do.
This one is called "We're OK?". Remember I'm not as good as you so don't expect much.
We're OK?
There's no combination of words to put together,
to explain what will matter in life forever.
I'm sitting, waiting, wishing, thinking of you.
Yes, I know what cruel world this is
but I don't believe you are too.
I'm not you, but if I was,
I would say we are through.
Waiting on love isn't easy to do.
Life can be deceiving
so please tell me:
Will there ever be hope for me and you? Us?
Should I pretend tomorrow is a new sunny day,
maybe even better with you beside me to pray?
Or take feelings back and be cold, call it a bad whether?
However, one thing stays forever:
You and Me together.
