WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE TV-SHOW?

December 3rd 2006 23:56

So, this is a question that split up friends and families. It's more important than politics. It adds you in a certain group, a certain race.

All of the above is bulls***, but you get me...

What is your favorite TV-show? I talked about it with friends of mine recently, and followed some debates. Everyone has its favorites and almost always with good reason for it. That's what I want to know from you. What reason do you have to defend your much-loved?

How about me? I don't know if I'm gonna remain safe if I tell you, but I will, cause I like risks.

So here I go (in order of likyness):

Prison Break
Lost (surprise huh?)
Family Guy
Heroes
Everybody Hates Chris
The Office US
Dexter
Six Degrees
Justice
Studio 60
War at Home
StandOff
Simpsons (was my top favorite in the ol' days)

I know, I watch pretty much, don't judge me about it, cause I actually DO have a life.

Anyhow, please tell me what your darling is, and I would appreciate three pros and three cons about that specific TV-show.

Have a good one!

Hi John!

You know what's really funny? None of the shows I listed are on your list. Which means... I don't know.

Anyhow, nice choices though, just never got around seeing them. And the classic shows... ah, that were good times.

We both have Heroes on our list, and I am a fan of Family Guy, Futurama and the Simpsons.

Oh, of course!

Didn't see Heroes there, and Family Guy rocks.

Never could accept Futurama, don't know why...

1st place goes to South Park...
2nd... Third Rock from the Sun
3rd ... The Simpsons
4th - King of the Hill
and maybe 5th - Friends , but I'm not some fan of the tv shows. I mostly watch animated shows .

And I agree with JohnDoe about Twilight Zone ( but only if he think about old, mostly black&white episodes)

Thanks for your input Daressi.

Never liked South Park, even though I've seen some fun clips in the past. I have no idea why.

The Simpsons was great, lost it though.

Friends was the funniest in a long time, and one of my favs too.

You don't know what you miss ( South Park) . This is real cartoon for adults. They are funny and more their truth usually hurts .

Filmpeeker,

*hillarious - ha!* I nearly posted this on Brad Pitts bald head... backed up just in time....*l-ing ol*

...errgm...can't say i/we have favs, because we don't switch the TV on only about twice a week nowadays, but currently my children love Futurama and I've enjoyed a couple episodes... not bad, but I think it's programming people to accept robots... still I like Bender, can't help to really... but then we have watched every episode of Voyager ever made - and own them too!

Other than that, I've watched 3 episodes of Smallesville and may watch another two or three before I loose interest... The same for the 70's show... quite funny...

Truthfully, I'd say the only shows in years gone past that I would make an effort to switch the TV on for were Seinfeld and Frasier... although again I peaked out at about season 2 and 3 respectively for each...

as a kid myself I loved,

Star Trek,
Lost in Space,
Buck Rogers in the 21st Century,
The Time Tunnel,
Land of the Giants
Gilligans Island

Sheesh, I watched a lot of TV as a kid... I guess I grew out of it later in life....*lol*... or it just got crappy?

it's been interesting remembering, thanks...

Lilla...

Kylie,

You're a comedy/action fan aren't you?

West Wing was great, and Studio 60 is very similar but don't quite have the same nice plot.

Heh, Scrubs is fun, although I've heard many say I look like Zach and I’ve come to hate it. =)

Cya!

Lizard!

Yea, some older ones are missing, like Frasier, although I never quite got The O.C... Sounds too Beverly Hillish (or Hellish).

Anyway Buffy is one of the greatest and cheers to screenwriter Jane Espenson for that.

Have a good one.

Hey Lilla thanks for stopping by!

I know what you mean. Well, I myself was pretty against TV-shows *ironic* and therefore didn't watch them at all. Until I saw Lost, so that's also the reason I mainly have newer ones on my list.

But I always preferred Friends against Seinfeld, and haven't seen much of Frasier other than few that were really hilarious.

Oh, and Brad's bald head really catches your attention so I won't blame you.

Cya!

I always stick to tried and true shows - for a media savvy person I'm a late adopter of tv shows of my own accord...but generally i love comedy comedy adn more comedy!
1 HAS to be Arrested development...I am devastated that it has been cancelled
2 - Family Guy
3 - the simpsons followed closely by
4 - scrubs
5 seinfeld and just as fads....
6 - American dad
7 - Men In trees - hasn't started here yet but i have seen a few previews am up to ep 5 - never thought i'd be into it because it's so girly, but here i am being a girl!
8 - Survivor
9 - Curb your enthusiasm.
10...this is a Hypothetical...I am going to say i'd love that to be herows - we do't have it yet, but I really want to watch it - it looks brilliant!

I think it is coming to the 7 network so I guess I'll be going to that channel to watch it!

Thanks for your thoughts Vixter!

Arrested Development is one of the funniest indeed, too bad they cancelled it...

I love Family Guy but American Dad never did it for me. ANd, yes, I know they're created by the same team.

You should definitely take a look on Heroes, even if it's not that comedic, you might like it!

Hear from ya!

Hi Hope!

Yea, Heroes is the best newcomer. And I started on My Name is Earl but missed too much and now don't bother going back to it...

Thanks for coming by though.

Hi Whatever,

You're more of a drama/comedy-guy I see... Nice.

Family guy rules. Sex and the City isn't something I liked (sorry) and the same goes for South Park (sorry).

Cya!
